From January 6th to 8th, nine students from the Department of Japanese Studies at the University of Hong Kong stayed at a farm house in Nobeoka City to experience zazen and trekking.
It was held from January 5th to 12th on a six-night, seven-day trip to Japan, and it was a place to enter Nobeoka as part of an educational trip to Japan, and during my stay, I stayed separately into three farm house accommodations in Kitakata.
On the 6th of the first day of the visit to Nobeoka, we visited Nobeoka City Hall at 6 p.m. and paid a courtesy call on Mayor Yoji Yoji Yoji. On the 7th of the following day, after visiting the Asahi Kasei Exhibition Center, we had a zen meditation experience at Fumonji Temple in Sumie-cho, and enjoyed the gourmet chicken Nanban, which originated in Nobeoka, for lunch. In the afternoon, we visited Nobeoka Castle Pass and trekked through The Power Spot Kamisan mountain in the Kitagawa-cho Shoko River to heal the fatigue of the day at the Celebrating River Onsen.
The party stayed in Nobeoka for the next destination, Takachiho, on the morning of the 8th. From Takachiho Town to Morotsuka Village, Shiiba Village, Gogase Town and the north of the prefecture, we experienced the culture and life of the northern part of Miyazaki Prefecture by performing sights of Takachiho Gorge and Kagura viewing, straw work and skiing.
