The costal area of Nobeoka City, located in the southern section of the Nippo Kaigan Quasi-National Park has around 50 spots that are perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The main areas are Kitaura, Shimanoura, Urashiro, and off the coast of Yasui. They are also rare spots in the country that are located near from the city area and only 20 minutes away. Around100 types of table corals and over 600 types of underwater creatures live in these waters, and scuba diving\/ snorkeling can be enjoyed throughout the year. The colony of disc corals of Nozakanohama in the northern area of Shimanoura, is said to be the largest in the world. Dolphins, manta rays, sunfishes, and sea turtles can also be spotted.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTenjin\u201d point near the ferry port of Urashiro Town has special ramps for diving. It is a spot where anyone, even visitors with disabilities can safely enter the waters with assistance, regardless of the tide.<\/p>\n
