It is located in a corner of one of the Kitakata area’s leading countryside, immediately from the Route 218. Ishigura (stone made warehouse) and a large cactus in the garden are landmarks.
The owner couple cultivates mainly shiitake mushrooms, and rice, seasonal vegetables. They run a farmer’s restaurant from Friday to Monday during the weekend and offers a country-style buffet with seasonal wild plants.
In the grounds of a shrine of nearby Utsugi Shrine, “Hibuse Jizo festival” is held every year on the 24th of January in lunar year, traditional Usutaiko dance which lasts more than 40 years is dedicated.
You can taste fresh vegetables and full nutritious shiitake mushrooms that full-time farmer raised. In the surroundings the countryside spreads and you can soak in the laid-back feeling.
It takes about 20 minutes from the center of the city center to Kitakata Nobeoka Road, Route 218. Access to the mythical hometown · Takachiho is also good, 25 minutes by car. There is Michi-no-eki Rest Area Kitakata Yochimiro Ya in the immediate vicinity, where you can enjoy local specialities, processed goods, and fresh vegetables and fruits.
